Fee: $35
Schedule: Weds, 12/19, 10am-12pm

This workshop will direct students through a careful and respectful observation, and dissection of a grass or bull frog. Students will be encouraged to draw and identify organs and organ systems and to engage in discussion regarding the structure, form and function of systems found. The dissection is not limited to, but will focus on an exploration of: the respiratory, digestive, nervous and reproductive systems.

Students in this laboratory will be working with dyes and sharp instruments. Organisms are coming from a biological supply company and in most cases are preserved in a dilute formalin solution. Most frogs have been collected in Mexico in areas where grass and bull frogs are an invasive species. Best suited for ages 9-15.
